Okay guys, I've burnt out my fan motor once before in mud, and I know many JK owners that have had multiple fans burn out from the mud.. Is there any fix to keep the stupid thing from getting mud in it? Any help or advice would be appreciated!!!

Yeah staying out of the mud is NOT an option lol and the time when it did burnt out I was just hittin some oh idk 3 ft. deep mud puddles. It was in no way deep enough to drown it in muddy water, mud got splashed/thrown up into it somehow.. so even with a toggle switch if I flip it back on, there's still mud in it
so idk what to do
I am waiting to see when SPAL comes out with that new fan though, Redneck

I've replaced mine 3 times, I have a spare motor I always take with me wheeling now.
they just dont like water/mud. I don't believe a kill switch would help as the motor would still be wet when you turn it back on.
I have actually spoken with a sales rep and engineer with SPAL USA fans, they are completely water proof and will run under water, I just need to get the temps that the fan turns on low and on high so they can get me a complete setup. I just ordered a aeroforce gauge today so I can get that info.
I started a poll here about the fan motors, I'll update that when I get the info on fan from Spal.
