My personal opinion is if you like it do it, It's your Jeep. I personally don't like it.

No spare... stay on the highway. AAA doesn't go where I travel.

Not a big fan, I love the look of the spare on the back, but I guess you could always put a basket on the Jeep and throw the spare up there like a lot of people do with XJs, but if the tire is bigger than 31" it won't be much fun getting it down from there.
