What do you guys think
I have already Lifted my jeep and now the problems start, I have the head ticking and the chirp. I had planned on upgrading axles, coilovers and bigger tires but what I am seeing now I think I should wait. I just ordered my front bumper and a winch. Do you guys think I would be alright bolting this stuff on without adding to the warranty issue more than I already have.
I would say bring it in now without the bumper and winch. While the winch and bumper should have no effect on the powertrain warranty, there is no need to bolt on more stuff and give the dealer more ammo.
at 19,000 miles I got the CEL for my ticking pentastar. I've done a fair amount of stuff to my jeep including gears and lockers. Dealer didn't say a word about not covering the complete cost of the fix.
I don't see any problem with bolting up your bumper and winch. Really, they can't say anything about that causing engine trouble, nor should the lift have anything to do with it. I have a 4.5" lift and 35's and the only thing warranty doesn't cover is if any of the aftermarket stuff breaks. The engine, transmission, and anything electronic is all still covered under warranty. You should be fine. Put that bumper and winch on cause I want to see pics!

Things that can possibly affect the warranty on your engine are things like a Cold Air Intake (if for some reason they find it caused water or dust to be ingested into the engine), or performance chips/programmers that cause your engine to operate beyond normal factory specs.
I had this discussion with a Chrysler service tech and here is what he said:
"We can void if we see fit, even when returned to stock theres tell tales that a programmer was installed like mileage and vin mis matchs in different modules etc, although rare we do see some cai that cause long term engine failure due to more dust injested into the engine, i would personaly not run one with my experiences with them, more so on a diesel but have seen it with a gas engine."
