Default What kind of top do I have

I can't figure it out. It has the standard front release clips then on the sides it has 3 knobs I have to fully unscrew for it to release off the roll bars. If this isn't enough of a description I can take a pic or 2. Any help would be great.

Sounds like the door surrounds for a soft top?

If it's the door surrounds which on pics it looks like it is. How do I see people removing and putting their top on and off in 5 mins? If I don't fully unscrew it then I can't get my top off. And it's a nightmare to line back up to get the damn knobs to screw back in ?

After you unlatch the two visor clips and fold it back, you should see another quick release latch that looks like a hook. Just push those down and release the frame from the surround. There's one on each side just after the front door. The surrounds don't need to be removed each time you take the top down.

Yeah if your talking about the two main clamps against the windshield I I clip those then the other things won't allow the top to slip off them

You have a soft top, right? Just making sure because that's what I have.

Yeah it's a soft top. My issue is I can't release the top from the door surrounds. I can lift it a little but you can feel it's holding very tightly to the door surrounds "part with the 2 knobs" like I pull on it to the point my arms are shaking and it won't budge

Follow the soft top frame back from the windshield toward the knobs you unscrew. Around that area the frame folds, but there is a plastic lock that slides forward over the joint. You just slide it off the joint and the top flexes. Absolutely no need to unscrew the knobs and remove the whole assembly.

You can download the owners manual at the Jeep website as well and it will show pictures. Or, Besttop has a video on YouTube.
