Is it weird that they are running 40's on that kit?

Plus, with 37s you can pull out stuck Hummers!

100 Dollar Man,

That set up that you have with the 3 inch and 1 inch spacer in the front is the way I want to go. Did you put the front 1 inch to level out the jeep? Thanks JDJ:sad:

Here is mine JK with the FT 3" Ultimate with the HD springs and a 1" body lift. Its riding on 37" BFG M/T's.

The tires just went on this last Saturday, so I don't have any wheeling pics yet, but that should change this coming Saturday.

RE 3.5" and trimmed fenders is more than enough.

so to continue the question for others who look and wonder...

would you trust the 37" tires on anything but the Rubi? I think the 35" tires are about max for safe wheeling on the X with the D30 front. Opinions on this? I want 37" tires but i dont think the front axle could handle them esp while in rocks

its all on how you wheel. Its not Ideal, but it'll work until you can upgrade your axle. I know plenty of guys that run 37's on a TJ D30 locked

Just dont be so heavy on the right foot.

I have 37's under a 4" teraflex lift.

It wheels nicely. No rubbing. I need wider spacers (new rims) because it will rub the flex arm ever so slightly but that isn't the lifts fault. Had to trim the rock rails (about 2 inches or so).

I would recomend gears. I'm running 4.88's front and back and it drives really nice. I was going to install 5.xx but decided on 4.88's (wanted a stronger gear). I'm happy I picked the 4.88's, it accelerates great, I live in the hills and it climbs them no prob with less down shifting than it did stock.

Do it.

Seth.

I trust that I will break axle shafts with the 37's on my Rubi. As soon as some stronger shafts make it to the market I will make a purchase and use the stock stuff as spares.

Breakage is just part of life on the rocks. Like they say you have to pay to play.

i am in serious debate on the 37" tires. I am a pretty cautious wheeler and i dont plan to lock the front so i hope it will help prevent breakage early on, atleast until more parts are avail.

Only problem i know is since I'm a 2 dr (seems to be a rare find these days) i have read other threads where anything over a 3.5" lift people are having to replace front drive shafts because of the angle. O well, sounds like ill be getting myself one heck of a christmas present
