What options do I have for a rock slider that doubles as a step for an unlimited?

Default Stock Steps = Awesome

To tell you the truth.

This is what I do... I bought 3 sets of stock steps from Sahara's and Unlimited's off of friends, for about 50$ each. 6 bolts on and 6 bolts off (10 Min), it sticks out just far enough and is hard enough plastic to protect against most sliding although it tears it up pretty good and it also gives when you 'leaning' on a rock so it doesn't actually break... only thing I dont like is the extra clearance.

So when I get home I put the Newish step back on the jeep and take off the crap one.

Bam I saved myself 600-1000$ on sliders that I'd dent and scratch anyway.

I got Smittybilt SRC side armor. It is a 3 tube design that looks great and works as a step. They were less than $260 and well built. Problem was ease of installation...had to drill out mounting holes on both steps to fit the mount spots. No drilling of your Jeep at all. It would have taken less than 30 minutes if they'd fit properly.

I picked up a set Body Armor Rockcrawler sidebars for my 2011 JKU. Makes a solid step for my wife and grandkids. They are body mount and use existing holes.

Shrokworks, w/ a little saftey textured ladder tape where you step.

Don't go with Rugged Ridge or similar. THis is what happens when you come down on a rock, they flex into your pinch seam!
