Right off hand I'd say it the speed sensor. sorry thats wrong.
The top plug activates the locker. The bottom is the locker indicator

Not a speed sensor. Speed data comes from the left front ABS sensor.

The top connector in the picture is the locker power, the bottom one is the locker position sensor.

I take it you are adding locker axles, front and back?

If so, you have a huge advantage, in that you don't have to bypass or fool the computer. Wire it up like a set of aux lights; switch, relay, wiring, etc. You can even include the sensor to illuminate an indicator light, or the switch when locked.
You can select either axle, anytime you want. Just don't lock on the road at road speed, as that would be the quickest way to disaster.

Well my X came with the rear factory locker. I have the daystar lower switch panel so i was gonna just wire it to that.

so wire it like this? then throw in a switch? well also hook it up to the battery.

No. Nothing like that.
If your JK came with a rear locker, then the wiring is all set.
The front axle will be simple to wire like a set of lights. Like I said, switch, relay, wires, etc., to the power plug only. You can skip the sensor wiring, or wire it separately to provide a ground for a light.
