Default What point to re-gear?

So I haven't got my jeep yet (ordered 2 weeks ago), but I now have my mind made up on the Rock Krawler stock mod 2.5 and 35 inch tires. My question is that I am stationed in Germany fror three more years (Mountains, Valleys, different variations of strait up roads, etc....) and when will I have to regear? I ordered the JK Unlimited 6 speed manual and opted for the 3.73, so not a Rubi. Any help would be appreciated.

and when will I have to regear?
After you have driven with the lift and tires and decided that your current gearing sucks?

You may not mind it... You may be used to euro powered sports cars and hate it... If you don't like the power... re gear. I love my 6 speed w/ 3:73 ratio on stock tires... When I go 35s I'm only going 4:88 ratio. having a rig geared to low sucks cause you can't travel long distances at good speed... I'm always driving 80mph on the highway... I'd rather have a lil speed then be able to smoke my 35s in first gear.

I live in Germany as well. I run 37s and after installing the lift, it took me a while before I found time to do the re-gear. With the stock (4.10) gears on the autobahn you could do 130 kmh pretty easy so long as it was flat. As soon as you hit a hill, forget it, I was getting passed by trucks and rowing through gears trying desperately not to drop below 70kmh. In the city and country roads it wasn't that big of a deal since the speeds weren't that fast to begin with. With 5.13 gears, it is all back to normal, though I really don't go much faster than about 120 kmh on the autobahn because the revs go way up as does fuel consumption. But slow and steady is a much better option in my opinion. Hope that helps some. By the way, where are you stationed?
