Default What shocks?

So, my rough country shocks are starting to leak in the rear and my Wife has given the green light to replace them. Normally this would be a contest of what is the cheapest but, there are some good sales going on right now and I've been itching to upgrade from these stiff RC 2.2s anyhow. The question is, what are you running and how do you like it? If you were running RC 2.2s and went to something else how did you like the change? Was it better, worse, can't really tell?

If your looking for a reasonable price range,,,,, Soft ride= Old Man Emu,,,,, More firm ride= Bilsteins. If you want to spend more than twice as much,,, Fox 2.0 8 way adjustables with reservoir. You cant loose on any of them!

Rough Countrys rough ride is from both the shocks and the coils. Replacing the shocks usually isn't going to be the FIX, but it will help and you will more than likely notice a difference.

Thanks everyone, I understand that the rough in the name comes from both the springs and the shocks and I do plan on swapping in some metalcloak springs an a few months when the jeep fund has been replentished, but right now I am focused on the part that is failing and that is the shocks, if money were no object I'd just go with the MC 6-pack system and be done with it! I'm looking at 4wheel parts and their sale right now, so my main choices are skyjacker, rancho, pro-comp, and biltstien.

Even some of the more expensive ones are rebuildable as well.

If you're going to do MetalCloak coils you should look into doing OME shocks.
