its a jeep its pretty much always gonna have the floaty feel to some degree. I have the aev 2.5 on mine and its suposed to be one of the best out there for on road manners and it still has the float feel just to lesser extent.

The biggest change for me after I installed my ome lift was lca and ball joints. I'm sure the trackbars and everything else made a difference but I couldn't tell as much with those

What do you mean by the 'ride is very floaty'?

As in the steering is floaty or that overall the suspension feels floaty?

If steering, perhaps you've got enough lift (you didn't say and it's not in your profile) that your caster is out far enough to make the steering feel 'light'.

You answered your own question.

Those HD coils gave a bit over 3" of actual lift height, correct? With stock arms, the axles rotated, raising both pinions. Up front, this automatically lowered the caster, causing flighty steering. Get some form of correction for that first. (Not an issue with 4-doors, but many with 2-doors choose to go ahead and adjust the rear pinion as well.)

After that, a raised rear trackbar bracket might be a good call.

And then, if you want to center the front axle, get an adj trackbar. (Or, do some research on draglink flips.)

This.

Don't forget to get an alignment after this is done to get it all dialed in.

Please define "floaty".

I'm running similar coils with a rear TB bracket, front TB, lower control arm drops, and Rancho 5000x shocks, 34psi and I don't feel floaty at all. It's not factory but it's good for being lifted.

It's hard to explain like moving side to side in the lane

Think I'm going to install the control arms and see how it feels

What does your tire pressure look like? What about the actual tires themselves?? What condition/ age/ mileage is on your shocks?? And why is it that you're pushing towards lower control arms? Throwing parts at it won't solve the issue, it'll just be a more expensive issue.
