Default What size????

I am trying to install a new rear drive shaft on my 2012 rubicon. I have tried 1 1/4 and it's to small went to 1 1/2 and to big. I think it's metric since I couldn't find any sockets between those two sizes. The nut on the transfer case is 1 1/4.
