Default What size wheel to run?

Ok so I have a 2011 Jeep JK Sahara and I want to run 33" tires. I already have a 2-1/2" teraflex lift installed. What size wheel should I run? This is primarily my daily driver. I do go wheeling 3-4 times a month. I wheel in the sand and in the parks. So with the JK do I get 15" wheels or stay with 18" wheels? What are the advantages or disadvantages?

The price of tires and the chance that you'll want to upgrade to larger tie rod ends or something like that would be my two biggest concerns.

Because i'm bored.......

If you run anything other than a 33X11, or 275/70R18 with your stock rims, you'll have issues. That's the size tire I run, and on purpose so I didn't have to use wheel spacers or invest in new wheels. If you're wanting to run 33X12.50's you'll need new wheels with proper back spacing.

I was just wondering if I should bite the bullet and get wheels now being that the tires would be cheaper in the long run. But are there any advantages to the 15" wheels besides the tire pricing?

If you ever get aftermarket steering components put on, chances are you'll need usually 17" wheels with 4.5 backspace minimum. I personally have 17s. It's a safe size for later on down the road and it still gives you plenty of rubber for airing down.

Well by the sounds of it I should stick with the larger wheel.
