I went with Terra Grapplers after seeing my friends kick ass off road. I was very impressed, great in mud and stuck well to rocks. They ride harsher than my stock rubicon tires but are much quieter. I can just barely hear them.

LOVE the MTR but are wickedly heavy. I run KM2's as a daily driver and they are A: Lightest out of the bunch in the 35" class B: have heard the KM2 is a great wearing tire C: (And this is odd to me) Supposedly the easiest to balance (Again shocking as I have had some BFG horrorstories)

I love my 35" MTRs, I have had zero problems getting them balanced, they are quiet on the road, rock crawl very well, and they are overall a good looking bad ass tire.
They are one of the most popular tires out there right now for a reason.

The KM2 are probably the lightest because they run super small...35 is more like a 33

I have obviously heard lots of good stuff about the Toyo and Nitto tires all over this forum but I know they are also a very heavy tire.

I suggest you buy from discount tire but, if you go on TireRack's web site, they have pages and pages of reviews on all of the tires you are looking at.

I have the Nitto trail and they are great. I will be getting the Toyo's next.

According to the weights listed on a well known tire supplier site a 35x12.5x17 MTR weighs in a 64 pounds and a KM2 in the same size weighs in at 68 pounds. A 35x12.5x15 MTR is 67 pounds and a KM2 is 61 pounds.

for DD i would do either General grabber (like mine and i love them!) or falkens . if you do other like nitto or toyo, they will be great looking and great offroad but not good and quiet on road.

General Grabbers are also very reasonably priced from what I have seen.
If I were looking for an excellent DD tire, I would buy a set of BFG TA KO...Every review I have read has them lasting 50-60k+ miles!!

Which ones are a true 35 or at least real close? I've heard a lot of the 35s end up being 34 or less after installed.

I know my 33in Terra Grapplers came about to be 32 3/4 which is very close. I would hate to spend the extra money on a 35 to end up with a little over 33in lol
