Default What type of brake pads?

I'm at 78K miles and still have not had to change my brakes. However, I know I will have to at anytime. What type of brake pads are on the 2010 JK...ceramic or other? Can anyone advise?

78k miles since '10 and no new brakes? did you put all 78k on or just the last few say after buying it used? because im in shock and disbelief if you got nearly 80k miles out of 1 set of pads......

Except for cost, recommend ceramic pads as best overall. Just be sure to apply brake pad grease to the back of the pads, as well as to the clips that the pads slide in (lest you suffer annoying squeals).

Agree with MMTim: That's a lot of miles, at least for the rear set. You may have set a record!

inorite, even my 2200 pound yaris didnt get 80k miles out of a set of pads! and that was a 106 hp 4 banger of very low weight and easy use on the brakes!

I was quoted $850 for all 4 disc and pads installed. I went to Napa and bought their ultra premium discs (front/rear) plus ceramic pads (comes with new clips) and red anti-squeak spray (for the back of the pads) for $320. Installed them myself and it works great.

P.S> I had 75,000 miles on original pads.
