Default what are used 35" KM2 worth?

I found a set of used 35" km2 mounted on procomp wheels. The guy is asking 1500 for them. he sounded desperate to move them. He was willing to take an offer. I want 35's but also don't really have the money for tires and a lift right now. but if I was to stretch it what would they be worth? What should I offer? looks like retail they went for 1800.

Used? How used? It would help in determining a fair price.

generally half price of new is pretty fair once they are used. i know when i worked at a tire shop thats about what we did. i'd offer $1000, if they are used. if they have hardly any miles on em, thats different...

If they are mounted on procomp's I would say most likely they went for more then 1800. But like everyone else I would ask how used? There is a huge difference between 5000 miles and 20000 miles.

It is hard to tell. and the origional owner is decased. the jeep is gone and the guy that has them didn't check the milage. he did know they were on a 09 jeep. he is willing to take offers. I was thinking about offering 900 bucks. he does not have a set of 5 so I would need to buy a tire and matching wheel.

Measuring the tread depth will give you a good idea of the mileage of those tires.

New KM2s in that size have a new tread depth of 5/8".

If the sidewalls and base tread are clean (no cuts) and they have at least 1/2" of tread I would expect to get about 60-70% of their price (lowest new price available) in SoCal because of the local demand. I've upgraded my tires a few times before their time so I've sold a few sets of tires.

Having rolled on some trails around Auburn, I know there are a lot of 4wheelers in your neck of woods so demand should also be fairly high. My guess is if in the conditions described above he can get ~$1100-1200.

It all depends on how knowledgeable and patient the seller is.

Are those 17 inch wheels? I think for the wheels and tires that's not that bad of a price, depending on the tread which looks pretty good from the picture. All that being said, you can always go up if you start your offer low.

One thing you should consider is to make sure they will balance. He won't know the history of the tire as far as rotating and balancing, but you don't want them if they won't balance and ride like crap.

I also know of a guy that bought some used tires and when he got them mounted the tread was "cupped" and they rode terrible. He was able to get his money back on them. I'm not real sure of the details of how they get cupped like that.

BTW, I really like the wheel and tire combo!

Call up a few shops and find out the going rate for 35x12.50 KM2 in the correct rim size. price out the rims ....deduct about 50-60%. With 4 tires...I would ask around $900-1000 as my first offer.
