Default What would you do??? Driving myself NUTS!!!!!!!!!

Im lifting my 11 JKU and was all set to go with a 4.5" lift with 35's but after looking around at some jk's running a 3" lift with 35's Im wondering if the 4.5 will be too much.
For me I like the look of a stocky stance and for the tires to fill the wheel wells. Any advice/suggestions/thoughts is appreciated.

By the way the chance of me going to 37's at some point is VERY VERY slim. If I thought there was even a slight chance of that Id stay with the 4.5 without a doubt.

4.5" of lift is A LOT OF LIFT and, in my opinion, way too much for just 35's. i would stick with a 3"-3.5" lift as it is really all you'll need to clear 35's and a much better way to go. trust me, this is coming from someone who's run both setups more than once.

Yeah 4.5" would give u lots of room in the wheel wells with 35s. Too much room IMHO...

All U really need to run 35s is a good 2.5" lift. The TF 2.5" which I'm running yielded about 3.25".

Remember the higher you go the more the car differs from it stock characteristics, anything above 4 requires also driveshafts etc. Also remember that a 4.5" lift in reality might be more, I wouldn't be surprised if you end up with 5.5" and indeed 35's will look small. My two cents

If you're wanting to keep the stance low, you can get away with just using flat fenders and no lift for a set of 35's.

If you're set on a lift - then as was said above - all you need is a 2.5" lift. Check out Teraflex and Rock Krawler for some great quality setups.

exactly! i think a lot of people remember the days of the old TJ and YJ and assume that the same should apply on the JK - no so at all.

Thanks guys I appreciate the advice. The more I look and think about it I think the 3 is the way to go for me.

I was driving myself crazy thinking about things like how much would adding an aftermarket bumper with a winch affect the height of the front end. The fab fours bumper Im looking at is only 80lbs and I havent decided on a winch yet but these are just the things that have been going through my head. I want to try and make the right choices first time around.

thanks again
