Default What would you do with this Mopar Bumper?

I'm looking for suggestions for this Mopar Bumper. I'm not sure if I'm going to just track down some of those crush can covers that look like pyramids, or if I'll grind off the ugly crush cans off all together and then mount some shackle mounts on the front with possibly some d-rings.

I'm also on the fence about just painting it black (maybe bedliner) or painting it silver to match my body color. Decisions decisions.

the only think I dont like about this bumper or any bumper is that I live in SoCal and I have to mount a license plate on it. I don't like how it looks on the side so for now its going in the middle on the front.

I'd love to hear your suggestions. If anybody has some crush can covers they would like to part with please let me know.

My vote is for cutting off the crush cans and putting on D-Rings mounts.

I was thinking that too, the only reason I was thinking of the crush can covers is because I live in an apt complex and I don't own an angle grinder.

I like the look of these shackle mounts

I they they are either A to Z Fabrication Clevis D Ring Mounts

A to Z Fabrication 400-JKCM - A to Z Fabrication Clevis D Ring Mounts for 07-15 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

or MBRP 131127 D Ring Bracket Mounts

Amazon.com: MBRP 131127 D Ring Bracket Mount - Sold in Pair: Automotive

both are about $100, a lot more than I want to pay.

I would grind them off and put on a flip up license plate mount for your winch fairlead. Someone in the area might have a grinder and would help you out. Amazing what a case of beer as payment can do lol

Its going to be a while before I get a winch so I think I'll have to just drill a few holes in the top and screw it in for now.

thanks I saw those but I'm not a fan of the look. PureJeep ones are weird looking too.

I have that bumper and cones to cover the crush cans. I use my jeep hard offroad and I've never had a problem. Jeep put them there for a reason. I'm not quite sure what that reason is, but there not in my way. Why cut them off? As for rings, just more money to spend on something purely cosmetic. The factory hooks work great!
