That's what it was called on my '88 XJ and '88 MJ.
^ this...

"command-trac" = part time 4wd
"select-trac" = full time 4wd

Select was just 4h without locked hubs

Older Cherokees & Grands with the better tcase had select also had command. Some Grands had quadra-trac which was only select & 4lo, no 2h I believe (been awhile).

And then they call the Rubi system "Rock-Trac" which just means the different TC and Lockers. Marketing names

What do you mean "without locked hubs"?
Select-Trac allowed 4hi on pavement by having a viscous coupler between the front and rear drive shafts in the t-case.

There is also the Selec-Trac II, which run's in 2 wheel drive with Active Full-Time 4WD in Hi , an 4WD in Low-Loc. It was the optional transfer case in the 08-12 Liberty. It's what my wife's 08 Liberty Limited has.
