Hypothetically, how much lift you can get away with on stock driveline and control arms for a Rubicon Unlimited, auto (I think that makes a difference with the driveshaft, right)?? I have adjustable trac bars and all other hardware that comes with a sus. lift, just with stock control arms and driveline. Let me know, thanks!!

You should be able to do 3" without issues. Above that you start rising your driveshaft integrity. Some people are running around on 4" with stock shafts, but it is only a matter of time..........

If you plan on off-roading, 3" is the max. Flex will produce a tear in the boot on the rear driveshaft. Also, steering gets flighty and such with stock CA's at that height, so stay under 3" and you'll be okay.

3" total lift or 3" suspension lift? Could you do a 3" suspension lift and then a 1" BL?

That will probally be the best route if you want to keep it road worthy but I could be wrong

That is probably the route I will go!!

Thanks for the quick replies. I just bought some Rusty's 3.25 coils front and rear to swap out for my TF 2.5" spacers, and wondered if the putting a spacer on top of the new coils would be pushing the limits?? Obviously, putting the 2.5" spacer on top the coils would be out of the question totally, but just got me wondering when the stock componets become maxed out.

I think 3.25" springs plus spacers is asking for trouble for all the reasons previously cited.

I just took off my Teraflex spacers and now running RE 3.5" springs. Total lift was only 1/2 " over spacers and seems to be fine.

Agreed. The 3.25 coils will be plenty for me now!
