Default Whats needed for 37"s

I do not have a Rubi and want to know what else other than the lift do I need. I'm not a hard core rock crawler or anything but do like to hit the trails. I go to the beach a lot and do a lot of mud and some trials. I've seen some guys here go 37"s and not do nothing other than the lift and others run full axle swaps and beef up everything.

Well I would do a 4 or so inch lift. I would personally run the stock front d30 with no locker til it breaks then get a pro-rock d44. I would however suggest a regear. If you got a 2 door you will need new driveshafts. I would suggest a complete kit with upper and lower adjustable control arms and front and rear trac bars. Just my 2 cents and my opinion.

I have been running 37" Nitto Mud Grapplers for 9 months with about half a dozen trail runs with no issues. I have the front 30 that is open and running 3.73 gearing with the Off Road Evolution "C" gussets. I carry a full set of stock D30 axles with me on the trail incase something do happen though. I do have the manual so it is tollerable. I plan to run the 30 till it breaks then upgrade...no need to replace what is not broke.

There are a bunch of threads out there about how to run 37s on a budget. I hate to say it, but do a search, as I recall a summary might be that the D30 will last until it fails. With sufficient abuse all axles fail. Axle upgrades and sleeves and gussets bolster your D30, but only afford a narrow band of improvement (or an undefined band of improvement). Which is to say, wheel/drive your D30 with 37s and have fun. The downside is when it breaks, you better hope you are not 100 miles from help. (Any axle can fail, some just fail sooner than others).
