They are saying this is normal, that because of the "progressive rate" design it is normal for the first 3 or 4 coils to be touching each other...I call BS. They finally agreed to give me credit for the "kit", but I need my shocks so I don't know if they will give me credit for just the coils...this is the second time going through this with the same problem BTW, so another set of coils is out of the question.


Any other thoughts?

Dpoelstra stated He/she thinks it is to clean and I mean no offence. I myself have taken my jeep through plenty of mud, actually I seek it out however, I have the belief that something can look good and still be functional. That is why I spent 3 hours cleaning my undercarriage this weekend. Some may think I am crazy but I’ll bet I remove 15 lbs of dirt from under there.

Coil bind, but that shouldn't be happening until you get some weight on them. Also, progressive rate springs aren't the right stuff for off road.

What is the difference be progressive rate and other springs?

From what i understand, progressive springs "progressively" get stiffer as they are compressed further.
