Mine did exactly the same thing on my 4 door. I took pictures and sent them to RC, they told me that the top 3 coils *should* have at least a finger width of space in between them. Mine were all collapsed like yours, front and rear.
They sent me a new set of springs, but they did the exact same thing. I emailed them back about 2 months ago, but havent heard a thing back.
Rough Country lost my business since I was considering a larger lift or long arm kit. I'm taking them off and putting them on Ebay. I'll be buying either a Teraflex lift or and Old Man Emu kit for the soft ride.

CitadelJeep, that is exactly the same situation I have been in...first time no problem, second time no response! I'd rather ride stock than have to deal with RC at this point.

Simple resolution!!

Send it ALL back and talk to Joe @ Teraflex. You will never get a goofy answer like "I see nothing wrong" when everyone else but them says it doesn't look right.

YOU DO NOT WANT PROGRESSIVE SPRINGS FOR A 4x4....PERIOD!!! That is a MALL CRAWLER SET UP!

Yes I stand corrected you might be right but progressive rate springs on the Old Man Emu kits. But progressive rate springs are designed for street vehicles to compensate for the lack of vertical travel distance. We don't have a excuse there. We have tons of wheel travel on the JK's! Yes Old Man Emu kit's ride smooth (I believe more due the the shock design) but the will never out flex a Teraflex kit. From what I have seen the max height you can achieve from a OME kit is 2.5". Honestly if I was looking for a smooth ride I would have purchased a Lincoln or Caddy not a Jeep!

These are Old Man Emu springs notice no compressed tight coil areas. The spring itself is treated to different stages of heat to change the rate the coil compresses.

I agree and stated earlier..... I the spring does have to much weight on it. I think RC engineering them to soft it they are touching with no additional weight on the rear

Yeah I'm either going with Teraflex or Old Man Emu for the ride. I could care less about a few inches different in flex anyways since my JK is my DD. I live near Uwharrie, so not too much flex needed there... I'm just sick to death of getting my brain rattled because RC coils collapse under the weight of a fart. Even with my tires at 28psi, its unbelievably rough. I'm even considering going back to the stock springs and throwing in some pucks just to have a nicer ride. And I dont care what you say about ride quality in a Jeep, when you put 25k - 30k a year in any car, a rough ride gets really old, no matter how good it is off road.

Sounds like we are in the same boat. That is how I would describe my ride exactly. It feels like my tires are made of concrete.

i'll tell ya what even though the ride on the road is somewhat stiff with my skyjacker and nitros it practically floats off road and i love that
