Default Wheel alignment gone wrong!!

I bought new JKS adjustable front lower control arms and installed them myself. I was able to set my caster angle around +6.5, which made the jeep handle a lot better. I wanted to take my jeep in have to wheels balanced and thought it would be a good idea to have an alignment done to dial it in. I told the guy I wanted to be as close as possible to +6.5 degree caster and to change the toe-in to 1/16”. I also told him I have adjustable lower control arms and adjustable front and rear track bars. I guess the guy didn’t hear the part about adjustable control arms because when I got back to pick-up my jeep he had slotted the holes where the control arm attaches to axle.. Nice job dude! I just flushed 400 bucks down the toilet. So my question is does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a good cam bolt or does someone out there make a special washer that can be retrofitted or welded in?

Thanks

wow, i'd be in jail.

either they would be welding NEW mounts to my axles free of charge while giving me a loaner, or they would be in court.

This is clearly the shop's fault. It's their responsibility to repair it.

yeah, thats the shops fault. i would either make them fix it, or have them buy you a new front axle.

Lesson learned. Never ever bring your vehicle with modifications to a standard repair shop. Try and find a shop that specializes with the mods you have performed.

And I think I would be in jail too.

You should be able to take it to a standard repair shop.. I have worked in auto repair shops most of my life and that would have gotten a tech fired!.. There is no excuse to mod an axle without talking to the customer first.. That would be an extra charge to begin with,, but He should have looked at the control arms and been able to understand what they are for,,,,

If you take it to a regular repair shop.. make sure it isnt a quicky tire alignment shop place.. and you get to talk to the tech that will be doing the work.. and he isnt fresh from tech school....

They need to remove your lower control arms, remove the mount, re-weld a new mount, and reinstall everything to spec. At their expense.
