Default Wheel Help..please

So I've pretty much decided on 15.8 Cragar soft 8's for wheels...but next big question is tires. I know next to nothing about which tires to buy but I know I want 33s because I dont have enough money for lift..potentially a body lift later of about 2 in. But anyway, 90% of my driving is roads..its my daily driver. I randomly have some offroad stuff and it varies..shallow stream to regular trail to a week on pure sand in OBX. What I'm saying is I dont need some crazy offroad capable tire, but something decent that definitely wont let me down on the road. I get some snow and ice too. Trying not to shell out a lot of money obviously, but I really need some advice on this.

Another question...I know about all the 15 inch wheel caliper rubbing issues. If I do have an issue with that, I would rather get spacers than grind because I flat out dont want to grind and I also like the look of further out tires. Which spacers do you all recommend for that? Obviously dont need to go way out, just enough for clearance and some look.

Lotta questions sorry but thanks in advance.

by the way, I have a 08 2dr X pretty much as stock as you can get.

GoodYear DuraTrac 33x12.50x15.......they are an AT, minimum road noise, look awesome and cost about $150 a tire in that size from Discount Tire. Plus the acre C load rated for a softer ride. They measure 32.25" on my 15x8s and you shouldn't have any rubbing issues. That said, some folks have had brake caliper clearance issues (that are easily fixed with minor grinding) on soft 8s in that size.....just FYI.

Some tire considerations you can look at.... but you would have to look for size spec's to see if they make a 33" tire for a 15" rim:

Mud-terrain

Cooper STT
Toyo M/T
Nitto Mud Grappler
BFG KM2
Procomp X-treme M/T

All-terrains

Dick Cepek FC-II
Mickey Thompson - ATZ
Toyo A/T
Cooper ST
