Default Wheel Question

I installed a AEV 2.5 lift and Geo brackets. I am putting on 12.50x35x17s. The MHT fuel Wheels come in two back spaces. 4.5 or 5. Which should I choose? I don't want the rims sticking out of the fender.

Like many others, on this forum, will tell you. Go do some research. Lots of threads on wheels, backspacing, lifts, etc. and I would bet that if you searched hard enough you'd find someone talking about both set ups, and maybe even some pictures.

I have 4.5" of backspacing on my 12.5s. No rubbing. With 5 you may rub a little, not sure. I researched this before I bought mine and the rule was 4.5 or less for 35x12.5x17.

The FAQ's at the top of this modified area ndicate that a 4.5" backspace will be good for a 35x12.50 tire.
The Thoughts On Lifts at the top of this modified area indicate that a 4.5" backspace will be good for a 35x12.50 tire.
In the recommendations area of each particular lift, many lift mfg's will indicate that a 4.5" backspace will be good for a 35x12.50 tire.

So, I think that you might be safe with a 4.5" backspace for your 35x12.50 tires.
