Can someone tell me the difference between these two wheels in regards to the highlighted part? If each set if wheels were mounted on identical stock 2 door jeeps, which wheel would stick out past the fender further?

This was my old jeep with the Cragar D window wheels (right column in pic above). Will the summit wheels in the left column in pic above give me this look, stick out half inch further, or be tucked in the fender more? The -12mm offset WITH back spacing is throwing me off. Tires in pic and new tires will be 285/70/17 firestone destination mt.

The left column will with the 4" backspacing and the -12 offset will stock out. The right column would be closer to flush with the fenders.

Higher number of backspacing means the rims will be closer to the vehicle.

Lower number of backspacing means the rims will be farther out from the vehicle.

Stock rims are 6.25 backspacing and those rims you are looking at are 4.50/4.00 which will stick out farther.

But how does the -12mm offset affect the back spacing?

If it was just back spacing listed, the one with 4 would stick out slightly further than the one with 4.5 but the -12mm offset is throwing me off

0.5 inches =12.7 mm. This is your offset difference.
