Default Wheel Question for the confused

Alright, I have searched and read, searched and read and am confused big time now. Getting new wheels and tires next payday (YES!!!) and want to make sure I go with the right equipment. Looking at 285/75R16 (33's) BFG's and want to make sure I go right with the backspacing. Buying Black Rocks.
Sitting on a 2.5 TF BB.

Do I go with:

16x8 with 4.25 Backspacing
or
16x8 with 5.00 Backspacing.

Thanks for your knowledge in advance...

I agree with that tire width it won't matter, but chances are you will want even larger tires in the future. The ones with 5.0" backspace might not fit 12.5" wide tires which are a very popular size.

I would go with 4.25" backspacing.

Another vote for 4.25.

4.25 backspacing for reasons mentioned above...

How strict are the cops in your area about tire width/fender coverage? Some folks back East are concerned with keeping the tires tucked back in the wheelwell, but not too many in Colorado worry about it. Another vote for the 4.25's.

As you're in CO, and one day might want 12.5's, etc...I'd do the 4.25's.

In fact, I'd do 305/70/16's over the 285/75/16's, as they are the same diameter, but will give better flotation and grip.
