thanks again Jeff,

I ordered the spacers today from quadratec along with some husky liners. It's funny I haven't even received my jeep (on rail car now) and I'm already buyin shit for it.

On another note, I couldn't help but notice your Z06. What project is going on now? long tubes? or just some maintenance?

My other toy is a 98 mustang GT. saleen kit (no stickers), full suspension, 4.10's, full exhaust, built 2000 engine, air-air intercooled vortech with 14#'s of boost. puts out 430 rwhp uncorrected at elevation (5000ft or so) never cared to see what corrected is at sea level. anyway, I'm a car guy and definitely respect the Z's. bad azz car dude.

Later,
Wes

Actually I am about to sell that car. It is actually a 2000 coup Z07 package car from MTI in Houston. It has a 427 that put down 545 RWHP and 500 torque. Its a monster. We had a head gasket leak and these blocks are prone to that. I am having a machine shop take care of it to solve it. It already has everything on it. Long tubes, fast intake, throttle body, stroker kit with all forged goodies, hardened output shafts etc... Its tubbed with 345 rear tires and looks and drove awsome. I have had it torn apart for a year and just have not had time. Its going soon.

I am selling because I just don't have time for it any more as I am getting back into Porsche racing as my avitar shows. I want to focus my money and attention into that car. I have a friend that really wants the car and will put the motor back together him self. It was running fine just a head gasket issue( 11.5:1 compression and hughe cam.) but I just don't have time for two projects.

Bolt ons are one thing but messing with my motor is just too time consuming.

By the way, I love mustangs as well. You can make crazy power with those for what you pay. Great bang for the buck cars. Nothing sounds better than the fords, its something about the firing order. I hear it all the time on the Corvette boards. They even admit, a Mustang sounds better than a Corvette.

Do you race your car? If not, go try your hand at some Drivers education events in your area. you will be hooked. I had a buddy that use to race his mustang and did very well. He was a Steeda guy and it was well setup.

Any change in the ride quality when you add these?

NO. I did not notice anything at all. Most people that see my jeep now, the first thing they say is, "Man, that thing has a great stance, did you lift it?"

I have found no negatives at all so far.

I've done a few SCCA events and had a great time. Since I got my 11 sec ET the fire kinda died for drag racing and would like to get into RR now.

anyway, I'm savin for a tubular K and coil overs. With everything else I have (including driver mod) I should be somewhat competitive.

If you wanna see any pics let me know.

Sure, I would love to. I wish I still had a pic of my buddies Steeda mustang when he blew the motor and a ball of fire was shooting out the back of the car and from under the hood. Looked like a bomb had went off. Its a good reminder of why a fire suit is a good idea even when just practicing.

PM me and we can discuss cars other than jeeps.
