Default Wheel spacer question

my first post here,

I couldn't find a set of wheels that did anything for me. So I decided to keep my stock 17" and powdercoat them
black, and really happy with them. I have been looking for wheel spacers, but people are telling me that's a bad idea because it'll cause my ball joints and other suspension components to prematurely wear out.

What I don't understand is, what's difference between a wheel spacer and back set on after market wheel?
wouldn't there be the same amount of stress if any with either set up? Am I going to cause problems for myself in the future using spacers or is this all bull?

nothing. you're just being fed a whole lot of FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt). you'll be just fine running spacers.

Just make sure they're tightened to the right torque and check up on them periodically. And use lock tite for sure

Any brand that would be recommended, or that I should stay away from. And what is hub centric?

X2 on that. I have been running Spidertrax for over a year with no problems yet. Seriously though, don't skip the Loctite. Also, make sure to remove the clips that hold the rotor on the hub before installing the spacers. I read a post on here from a guy that left them in place and the spacers never snugged up right and, after a while, they worked themselves lose and he lost a wheel while driving... YIKES!

Anyways, go for it! You'll love the new stance it gives your rig and I actually thought the feel of it while driving was a lot better too.

So I've been wondered about spacers as well. I can see where my front tires rub on the LCAs. So just wondering how much of a spacer and if I add them do I need both front and back?
