Default wheel spacer question

i am looking to install a set of wheel spacers to bring the stock wheels to the edge of the fenders or even stick out a tread. i think the stock rubicon rim has almost 6 inches of back space and most aftermarket rims has about 4 so would i be correct in thinking i can add 2 inch spacers without too much extra strain on the ball joints and other suspension parts?

I have 1.5" spacers and the tires are pretty even with the stock fender.

I had stock Rubi wheels and tires for a week after I put my 1.5" spacers on and the sidewall barely bulged past the outer edge of the flare. Once I put 295/70/17, I get a good 1/2" of tread plus the sidewall outside the flare...

SpiderTrax 1.5" spacers and your good to go. It will bring the rubber flush with the fenders. Ran this setup of stock 18s and 275-70 Cooper STTs for 90,000 miles.

I just installed spidertrax spacers. The spidertrax push the stock tires to be even with the edge of the stock fenders. I really like the look compared to stock.

X2. I got Spidertrax 1.5 and stock tires. It looks much better than the factory look.

I had 265/75-16's on stock steelies and Spidertrax 1.5" spacers. It did look better, but the front tires would rub on the fenders disconnected, stuffed, and full-locked.

No big deal, just FYI.
