Default Wheel and spacer question

I am ready to purchase new wheels for my rig, and am somewhat confused. I am looking at either the R/R or the Mickey Thompson and both state they will accept the TPSM from my jeep, and that neither of them require wheel spacers. I thought 1.5" spacers were mandatory on the JK aftermarket wheels. I am going to mount 35's on them.
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.

You need the wheel spacers if you what to run the stock wheels that came on your JK with larger tires. If you are going to get wheels then as long as you use a 4.5 inch wheel back space or less, then you don't need them.
