Default Wheel spacers

So I've read a bunch of posts about needing wheel spacers to run bigger wider tires on stock wheels. To run 33/12.5/15s on an otherwise stock rig would I needed a set of spacers front and rear, or just front? I'm currently running the stock 255/75/17 sra's and have never rubbed even when disco'ed. I figure the main issue would be the wider tires rubbing the control arms at full turn, so I'm thinking about getting a set of spacers for the front to take care of that when I move to my 15's. Has anyone had issues with rubbing on the back tires with no spacers and 33's or 35's?

With 15's, the bigger issue is caliper clearance. You need to go much lower than stock backspacing to run them without rubbing. So, assuming you run a 4.00 or less (3.75 or less is better), there will be no need for wheel spacers, and no issue with caliper clearance.

IF - you choose to buy new 15" rims with too high of a backspace, then yes, you will want spacers. But why would you...

I have some old 15" steelies that I got cheap. 4" back spacing, but doesn't quite clear the calipers in the front. They clear just fine in the back, do I'm hoping I won't need a set of spacers for the back, I'm just not sure.

I am running 15" rims with 3.75" backspacing with no rub at all. If you buy aluminum rims, some fit with no mods, some require grinding of the calipers, depending on backspacing and the curve of the inside of the rims. Most 15" steelies have issues and you have to grind. I would reccomend a 15" alloy rim with 4.5" or less of backspacing, just call or PM the Discount Tire rep on the forum to see what rims will work.

I would say yes. So as to keep the stance of the jeep the same front and back and so the jeep "tracks" the same front and back
