Bought some from ebay dealer. 40K later no issues. Running 285 70 17's on factory wheels with 1.5" spacers and 2" leveling kit. No rub even when I unlock sway bar.

No, they are not. Material analysis shows that these Chinese made spacers are made from inferior grade 6061, 30% weaker than the material used by Spidertrax (verified by analysis). Also, they use Grade 5 hardware, not Grade 8.

They may never fail, especially off road where dynamic loading is but a fraction of that seen driving at highway speeds on paved roads. What, say you, how is that possible? Hit a pot hole at 55 mph and you can generate several thousand Gs of force. You'll never, ever see that inching over boulders off road.

Having a spacer fail at 2 mph off road is an inconvenience. Having one fail at highway speeds may be fatal... Spend the extra money, buy the best. Spidertrax or Terraflex.

You get what you pay for and if you don't believe it, compare a Porsche Boxster to a Mazda Miata.

A propane torch to the lug nuts will soften the Loctite. However, that heats the whole spacer as well. Another way is to use the torch to preheat a socket. Push the socket onto the lug nut, wait 30 seconds and apply torque.

I've had no problem ever breaking them loose by hand . No heat necessary.
Just use a socket and breaker bar.
