Default are wheel spacers needed????

Hello all !!!
I have a 2012 Sahara unlimited and would like to put 285/70/17 tires on it. I have purchased a Tera Flex leveling kit, along with a set of 285's on stock 2014 Rubicon rims. Will I need wheel spacers, and if so what size????????

??????? There are a couple threads stuck to the top of this ???????? modified area that have some information about backspacing ???????? with various tire sizes. What is the backspacing on your stock rims? ???????? With a 32x11 (I think that's what they convert to), you should be ok, but if you do rub, it should be minor like the side of the plastic skid.

If you want spacers, the kind with two sets of bolts (Spidertrax type) are probably a better bet than the thin ones that sandwich in between.

I can tell you from experience that stock 14 rubicon rims with 285/70-17's and 285/75-17 with a 2" lift kit rub on the front swaybar at max turn as well as contact the plastic air dam and the rear lower control arm on the driver's side is very close. I added spidertrax spacers and no issues at all.

So is that the only reason to buy them so you won't rub?

It seems that higher lifts I see may benefit from a wider stance and prevent flipping.

Well I got the 1.5 inch wheel spacers on and the new 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers on, and I have to say that I really like the look of how it sits. The stance looks great!! I like how the tires fill up the wheel wells.
So my question is, what would I gain from installing the tera flex leveling kit? I dont need it for clearance issues.

You'll gain a level stance..instead of the factory nose down stance.
