Default wheel spacers and time

I put RR wheel spacers on my rubi 4dr 08 they have been on there for probably 5 years. During that time i have bought new tires and have the tires rotated every 7-10k. My question is how long is it safe to use spacers? being a separate part are they ore prone to failure at some point. Has any one ever seen fail catastrophically while driving? or is it that one day they just don't come off anymore?

Like anything else, if they are maintained they well last as long as you choose to use them. Keep them properly torqued and checked every time the tires are rotated should give them a long happy life.

What he said ^ I don't see them wearing out any more likely than a wheel would. Keep them torqued/checked at tire rotations and you should be good to go.

I had an issue with my wheel spacers and it did fail (while driving) was a really scary thing to happen and I'm glad it happened when it did or else I probably would have been dead. I took care of mine, I torqued and did everyone said to do but I had an issue could have been a bad spacer but I won't ever run them again.

One of my friends had the same issue with his spacers. He had a Detroit locker that put additional stress on the wheel studs though.

Forgot to mention , go with a quality spacer like spydertrax, not junk. Not an item to go cheap on.
