Steel or aluminum? Which is best?

Aluminum all the way. Lighter, won't rust, more stylish, very tough. The only upside to steel is price.

Ive run both and steel can be beat on and bent back. Aluminum is lighter.

My luck with steel was not good. I replaced three within a year. They bend easily when on tougher trails. Yea they can be hammered back in some cases, but will need to be replaced when off the trail.

This was from an easy trail, and caused my tire to hop. I'm running aluminum wheels now.

Aluminum also runs truer and is more balanced out of the box.
