Default Wheels and Lift

Hey guys, I've looked and looked and have seen mixed answers every time. Want to know if I can have the Teraflex 2.5 BB lift on my JK with the stock Rubicon rims and tires? I have a 2011 Sport. I live downtown Chicago so it will only ever see pavement and dirt, no off-road action. Can someone please give me a sure answer!!

I just did the Rancho 2" Sport Lift with Sahara 18" wheels/32" tires and it looks fine. There's no problems until you go to bigger tires. Then the stock wheels need spacers to get the back spacing down to 4.5" so the bigger tires don't rub any of the suspension components.

Now, I say it looks fine, and it does, but I do have the itch for bigger tires.

If you don't run wheel spacers the rear sway bar link will hit the inside of your rim of your back tires at full droop. If you read the Teraflex instructions it says you need to run wheels with backspacing of 4.5 or less for this reason.

However if you never take it off-road you should never hit full droop and thus it won't be a problem.

Probably not, I think what the other person was saying was if you had one wheel at full stuff ( tire at full compression ) and the other at full drop you would have an issue
