Default Wheels: Steel or Alloys?

So come spring time I've decided I'm gonna be adding a 1" bodylift as well as some new tires/wheels. I'm going to go with 35's on 16x8 rims I think. The only issue I'm having now is what wheels to go with. I am not a big fan of steelies due to thier weight and looks, but i know they can take a beating and i wont have to worry about it, not to mention the price!
Now I really want alloys, specifically the procomp 7028. however, i'm weary of shelling out the cash for these since I have already wrecked my stock wheels quite badly in just 2 runs offroad. How well do these alloys hold up to the abuse? better than stock? how does the paint hold up to scratches...I really like these rims but I feel like i might be better off getting 60$ steelies just for simplicities sake, even though I dont really like them.

ahhh decisions decisions.....help me out guys.

Go with steel, easy to fix, cheap to purchase.

Steel for strength vs. Alloy for weight. It really depends on what you plan on doing with your JK.

It is my daily driver for the most part.....but I do offroad when I get the chance....maybe once a month. Weight is a pretty big deal for me as it is my daily driver and I would like to keep the weight down.

Alloys are lighter. My 35/12.50R17 BFG KM2 and 17x8.5" wheel are 95lbs!!! Only 20 lbs heavier then stock rubi's!!!
