Default Wheels and Tires 1K, is it possible?

Ok, when it comes time for a new set of tires I was wondering if I can get a set of 33's with a new set of rims to go on the JK. Got to be a set of 5! I know that 15" Crager soft 8's run in the 60 bucks per rim so for 5 would be 300 bucks. Now that would leave me with 700 bucks for tires so 140 per tire. This may be a strech, but what do you think?

Stretch lol .... For sure!!!!! What size are you looking at?? Doing any offroading??? Here in Canada I don't think you can get even Motomaster tires at $140 a piece. Then tax balance install .

That is a little close... but with some creativity you can do it. For starters, I'd look for some used rims. Any ole' 5X5 with < 4.75" of BS will do. Craigslist and this forum's for sale section would be a good start.

Secondly, I'd buy my tires from Discount Tire Direct. They are a forum sponsor, and will get you the best possible deal on tires.

I just saw a set of 5, 17" soft-8s go for $100 TOTAL over in the for sale section. As long as you are not in a rush, you can save a TON of cash on the rims

Well i would look at the wheels your looking at. Some black steelies would be best. I bet you can do some wheelin and dealin and get the falken wildpeak a/t's for close to that price. If you pm some of the dealers on here they may be able to swing a package for you mounted and balanced. If your looking for a good m/t i doubt your gonna be in the 1000 range. But for a good a/t like the falkens you could be close, but you would have to ask them.
