Default Wheels or tires?

Okay, so you only have enough money saved for either new wheels or new tires. You're running stock Goodyear Wranglers with stock wheels. Do you get the cool wheels, throw your old tires on them and run that until you have enough money for tires too? Or do you get the new tires and throw them on your stock rims until you got enough for the wheels later on? Or...do you wait until you have enough for everything? Note...it'll be awhile until you have enough for the entire package.

I'd save for both. Buy them together online so they come balanced and ready to bolt on.

Depends if you have the money for wheel spacers ($200) and a lift. You can put bigger tires on a stock rim up to a 33 without lift, and bigger depending on lift.

Lol. I had the same predicament two weeks ago. I looked around and just happened to go on a day were a local tire shop was selling tired at cost so I saved a couple hundred dollars on five new 33" tires. It was a good decision for me since It's about time for it to snow and my old tires were factory, from 07'!! Plus I think the bigger your rims are, the mire expensive the tire, which is why I was looking for different rims, but it would have been about the same price and I've always liked the look of lifted jeeps with big tires on stick rims. So if you really need tires like I did don't wait just go looking.

Get the tires you want, get some scuff pads, clean them, getself etch primer ( be sure sand and clean 2 coats-oh so smooth, and spray on some canned bed liner 4 coats. I dig the stock rims and dig them even more black! It's all in the prep work so take your time and the liner will stick like glue!!!!!

Same boat here! I am going with rims, because I want to get rid of my Spidetrax spacers. Then sell old rims and spacer for new tires.

I actually like the stock wheel/big tire look. As mentioned though you will need spacers

stay with what you have now. keep an eye on the forum for tire/wheel combo that someone is selling that fits your requirements and jump on it. That is what i did and got a terrific deal.
Saves you money and helps a fellow jeeper out.
