Default When is the 3.8 most efficient?

I'm thinking about regearing and I'm going to be driving a lot more highway, What's the best rpm to run with at 70-75mph? People told me 2500rpm is the most efficient is that correct? I'm looking to atleast get 16 mpg highway with my rubi tires and 3.21 6 speed.

My jeep doesn't get its best mileage at 70 to 75. I try to keep it 65 or less, but that is hard.

Yeah I know I just don't know how guys with stock rubi's are getting 17 mpg with 4.10s and rubi tires.
BTW when and where are the meet n greets?

Why do you get such terrible mileage? I have a 2008 with an auto, 373 gears, rubi tires, lots of added weight, a lift and I get 20-21 on the highway at 65 MPH. I also live over 4,000 ft. elevation. I don't get it. You want 16 MPG???

Yeah lol at least on the freeway. I don't drive fast either, I shift at 2100 rpm. I want 16 mpg at 70-75 mph

The best mpg are down hill with a stiff tail wind. Seriously though, I get about ~17-18 hwy in my '11 Rubi. I think the MPG start dropping around 55-60 mph.

I'm running 35" Duratracs, about 3.25" lift, 4.10 gears, a cold air intake and a superchip and i'm getting 16 miles to the gallon per tank. Which must mean i'm getting around 16+ highway. I usually set the Jeep to 70mph, if i'm in no hurry i'll set it to 68 or 65. If i'm driving late night i'll set it to 65 and cruise.

and i have an automatic.

My brother had a bare bones 2 door JK stick, with 3.21 gears and his got shit mileage. had a lot of get-up-and-go with the stock 29" tires though.

I average 17.5 consistently. Its quite simple, I don't drive it hard and keep it at 60-65 on the highway. Right now my computer is at 19.0, my computer is 1 mpg off on a consistent basis doing math at the pump.

On long trips I have seen the computer get over 20mpg, so 19 is realistic on a stock rubi.

On the highway, at 60-65 mph, I am getting in upwards of 22 mpg. I'm also running a stock '11 JK, automatic, 3.73, 17" wheels on SR-A's. The RPM's are probably around 1,800.
