When is enough, enough
So I need advice, or direction.
I have a 2013 JKU with AEV 2.5xt, 35 MTR, Pintlers, PS Flares all around, Or Fab rear, JCR front, Warn 9.5cti, Tear rear carrier, rock brawler sides, OME steering stabalizer, Geo Brackets, RK front track bar.
I am wanting to make it more camping friendly, but also have an itch to go 4.5 and 37's. Just to do it. Wife says I am crazy and to leave it alone.
I keep going back and forth with a GOBI Rack... I don't want a slide out fridge and probably not even a RTT.
should I keep everything as is since I can off road everything at URE and have never had any issues with needing to go bigger. It also seems that my current setup as far as the jeep it self would work just fine for camping and even travel.
Thoughts?

On the other hand, you could upgrade to the 3.5" AEV lift (all you need if you have PSC flares) and sell your 2.5" lift for a total cost of about $1200'ish, then just add 37" tires for another $1750-$2000 and might be ok. But if you want to do it right you will have gears, drive shafts, spacers for your wheels, Chromoly axle shafts, and maybe sleeve/gusset your front axle. Rough math with installation of the gears and sleeves/weld in gussets, but self installing the rest would be at least $4k for quality parts....just my guess.
Your current setup is more than enough for camping. With 37's and 4.5" of lift the road manners are going to change big time. Unless you just have money to burn it sounds to me like you have a nice rig as it sits now.
My friend who owns a JK almost exactly modded like mine, except mine is an '07 and his a '12, said exactly the same thing about the slide out fridge. And the drawer. And the interior rack. Then he traveled with me (he flew to OK from WA to do so) during my recent NM trip. And he saw how much easier life becomes when you don't have to unpack half the Jeep to get a cup of cold water, or a pair of diagonal wire cutters. And he promptly went out and ordered very similar gear to install in his Jeep.
Don't sell that stuff short, because the pile-it-up-high approach sucks big time. I'm so happy to have organized my storage, and don't need to dread having to climb up on top of the Jeep to get a spatula down. Now, the only thing on the roof rack is the MaxTrax. It's for emergency duty: If someone's vehicle breaks down, they can pile into mine and we can load their needed stuff on top.

As for RTTs: I'm with you on that. I don't like towing a trailer, either, both because the gas mileage is even worse, and they really slow down travel. A small tent on the ground is plenty sufficient unless you plan on staying in one place for more than a night or two. That's not my style of getting out there. I go and go and go. Usually I even remember the tent poles. But not always, LOL ...

Good looking rig!
Thanks! The fridge is ARB on a Tembo Tusk slide. The drawer is custom built by SoCal Trailers. The upper rack is the Jeep JK Interior Rack from Adventure Trailers. It is all mounted on a custom aluminum floor plate that a friend helped me build.
Someone should start up a Jeep Modder's Anonymous...My name is Dave and I have more mods than I can even remember.
Many people on this site would love to have the jeep you already have. These jeeps are like crack. But 37s do look sweet on the 4 doors.
