Default When to regear

Since money is always tight, I need to prioritize my upgrades. Is it better to regear before or after lift and tires? My plans are to just dive into the 5:13's.

depends on how big of tires you are going with and what gears you have now.
i am running 35's with 4:10 gears and it is tolerable but i will be upgrading to 5:13's soon.

yeah with those gears i would say you would like to re-gear asap just because you are not going to be happy. My 4:10's bug me on any sort of substantial incline on the road.

that's doable but going up long grades on the highway will put you in the slow lane with the trucks. at bare minimum, i would recommend going 4.88's but if it were me, i'd go 5.13

yeah, I figure the parts cost the same ($500 total) but labor is going to cost a ton.

that's why it's good to do lockers at the same time if you can.

I have 37s with 4.10s because I am waiting (4 months) on my 5.13s

I am happy with the 4.10s but everyone says the 5.13s will make me happy

I would lift first, then see how the performance really is you may be able to save yourself that money for other mods.

My area is fairly flat driving

I'd wait until after you put the new lift and tires. 5.13s are too low for stock sized tires. But, I think you'll want them very soom after you get 35s.

I would save my money and do both at the same time. Lift w/o gears is no fun at all. Gears without lift is rough on the vehicle.
