Default where to get replacement u-joints?????

Where (other than the dealer) can I get replacement u-joints for my JK? I want to get another set in case I break one on the trail. (I'm not ready to replace drive shafts yet)

thanks!

Your drive shaft joints are CV (think front wheel drive cars). There is one on the front driveshaft but that is the only one.

I just asked that question a week or two ago and didn't get an answer. The parts guy at the dealer said you can only buy a replacement drive shaft. Not just the U-joint. I called Northridge, Dave at Northridge referred me to JE Reel. JE Reel said that the front U joint can be replaced with a Spicier 1203X. I appreciate the help and info that Northridge and JE Reel gave me. I have not changed the U joint yet. The dealer told me that it can't be replaced, that it is pressed in at the factory. The service manager said that it is sealed with plastic, and that a BFH will take care of it and then just use the C clips for the new joint. I want to replace the whole driveshaft with something better but I don't have the money now. I am going to need to replace the U joint it but am alittle worried that I might start and then have a problem. More info than you asked for but I hope it helps.

Well if you were in Colorado or Utah I'd sell you my factory takeoffs with a little over 1000 miles on them for a reasonable price. I went with JE Reel 1350's.

Ihave check with every major aftermarket dealer around here including 4wheel parts, centeral 4wd, Randy's ring and pinion and local auto shops and all said the same thing "only at the dealer".

<---has 2 extra D44 front ujoints and the Cromolly's are installed and work great.

thanks guys. I'll call my friend at the dealer to see what kind of deal he can give me on the front one.
otherwise... I have warranty.
I really just need to breakdown and upgrade my front to a 44 and get new shafts. it might be a while though!
