Where are these whees called?
I spoke to a guy at stockton about the brake issues, and he said that unless you were racing, there will be no problems with solid wheels and brakes. Most of the air to the rotors come from inside the wheel (from under the jeep) anyway. Why would we think that the air would travel through the tiny holes on the rims when there is a large opening on the backside of the wheel. Now I could see your point if the holes were finned (like a fan), so that it would pull the air through, but they are not. They are just holes.

Unfortunately it can also keep heat from braking trapped near the rotor. Even small holes cut in a wheel will greatly aid in cooling a rotor surface as the wheel spins, creates a fan like turbulence over the rotor and pulls heat away from the rotor surface.
I have no doubt the Stockton guys told you everything would be just fine, and they are very likely quite right. I would imagine that in normal light driving that the heat issue will not be sufficient enough to cause a major issue. For me personally though, I would be worried that solid wheels over time would retain more heat near the rotor surface than vented wheels would and that it might contribute to early rotor failure and shortened rotor life. I have no proof of that and I'm sure the Stockon wheels are great wheels. That's just my own personal hang up on solid wheels.
With respect to cutting holes in wheels to save weight. The little bit of material that is removed from the wheel blank is not enough weight to make a sincere difference in weight. The primary reason for doing it is to aid in rotor cooling.

I'm thinking these would look good. Do you guys think having a two piece wheel would be an issue? I wouldn't think so but it might
