Looking to get a winch but am a bit nervous that it is only bolted on. does anyone have any improvements as to keep it a bit more theft proof. I cannot fit in my garage, but it is also my DD and am even more nervous when i take out and park around town

I don't know about your bumper, but my winch isn't exactly easy to get to with the bumper mounted. The thief is going to end up spending 1 hr+ with the right wrench and a flash light, plus scratch the hell out of his hands trying to get mine. Plus I would hope someone would say something to someone if they noticed a guys head up inside my engine compartment.

I agree, as an old boss used to say "crack heads don't carry wrenches"

These are not exactly the easiest thing to put on or take off of your jeep. I figure it doesn't matter what you do or how you install something, if a thief wants it, he'll find away. Hell if they want it that bad, they'll just still the whole damn jeep and take it off in some remote area....why didn't I think of this BEFORE buying my winch
