Default whine on decell any ideas

so i just put 456 in the fromnt and rear and new 35 km2s i am at about 250 miles in the break in and there seems to be a whine at around 20-25 mph and onnly on decell
i have read what randys has to say about noises in the tech area. but theres nothing about decell noise. im sure its from the front as a gm tech pretty used to diff noises i was wondering if any else is running km2s and if so fo they sing when decelling and why do i hear it more from the front. . she has 4 inch lift tera flex upper rears and 6 speed any ideas thanks for feed back in advance

i had km2s and no whining noise from them ever. could be a nember of things not sure if you installed the gears but to do so requires to tear the entire axle down. might be wheel bearings

From another site

Several situations can create ring-and-pinion noise. If the gears have been quiet and begin to howl, they are probably worn or wearing. If the gears howl during deceleration only, it’s possible that the pinion-bearing preload has loosened. Howling under acceleration at all speeds indicates that something in the differential -- gears, pinion or carrier bearings -- has worn or no longer keeps the gear alignment correct. If the gears howl while accelerating over a certain speed range, but not all speeds, it’s likely that the gears are worn due to lubrication failure or overloading. When a newly installed gear set howls, suspect the design or setup.

SWEET thanks for the artical and feed back i did the gears my self and ( I think im a chevy tech or atleast thats what they pay me for) anyhow randys sent me usa standard gears and after install i found that they state that they might be louder
than other gears (you would think that when a guy calls and wants to spen a grand or more the person on the other end would let them know of this ) so its not getting louder but i know its just not right gonna open r up and take a peek next week keep you posted

It turns out gears fine km2s are bit loud usa standards are a bit loud and found out yukon doesn't make 456 so 488 would be better way to go.or another brand for now just gotta expect noise
