Default Whining noise

A few days ago my jeep started making a weird noise. I would describe it as a whining noise when I press the accelerator. It seems to happen at lower speeds although I may just not be able to hear it at higher speeds due to wind noise, tires, etc.

It does not make the noise all the time. Seems to start after I have been driving awhile (the first day I noticed it was right at the end of my commute) it does make the same noise when in neutral/park so it's not rotational or have to do with wheels/tires.

I'm at a lost. Tried to take a video to capture sound. Any help on what to look at/for would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a head of time

So, based upon the video, you're thinking it does it while not under load and is coming from the engine?

If that's the case, I'd start looking at bearings on your alternator, water pump, power steering, a/c compressor, tensioner, etc. On the bright side, it should be easier to find than a drivetrain noise that happens when going 55 down the road. Those suck.

Correct. After it starts it will keep doing it, even when stopped in park or neutral. Only makes the noise when under load. Seems to start happening after it has been running for awhile and gets warmed up.

I did not hear it, but wonder if it could be a vacuum leak or perhaps a pully bearing.

Warm it up and pull the fan belt from the crank pulley and see what happens. I mean, shut it off, pull the belt, then start it back up with the belt out of the way. Process of elimination. If that stops the noise then it's a matter of isolating which accessory bearing is whining. A mechanic's stethoscope or a big screwdriver would be helpful there.

I'm throwing ideas out assuming you're somewhat mechanically inclined.
