Whistle caused by SmittyBilt SRC Stinger Bumper
I was getting a low volume high pitched whistle that seemed to be emanating from the center of my dash. I eliminated by front windshield, hood gap, speakers and electrical system, etc... I then covered the three holes in the stinger portion of my bumper and voila, the horrible annoying bane of my existence whistle was gone.
Hoping some of you with an unknown whistle may benefit from this.
Now I have to figure out what to do about the holes to get rid of the whistle .

- Seemed to come from center of the dash
- Was speed related, not throttle related
- Came on between 35 to 55 mph
- Was slightly louder with windows open

i had a whistle from some aftermarket mirrors when when the doors were off... had to sell them. most people can't hear that high pitched noise, but it made me want to kick puppies lol.

It seemed strange to me as well because no one complained in the reviews about this either.
Haha... My buddy said he could barely hear it and was telling me not to worry about it. I was ready to punch him as it was driving me crazy. Haha
That's an option but I kind of like the look. Haha

You can always pretend you have a super charger and tell people it gets louder the faster you go.
Now I am going to be paying attention to see if my stinger whistles at high speed.

This may sound funny but see if you can find someone that some 1 inch coil spacers laying around. Throw those on and see if the whistle goes away. The theory being the angle change might be just enough to stop the whistle.

I'm sort of indifferent about the look of the gusset, but if you want to see what it looks like without it, look at my avatar, or I can post a bigger pic if you want. Mine is missing that useless gusset because we cut it out and refinished the tube.
