Default White Knuckle Rock Rails

I have searched the forum but I am not finding anything on these. Has anyone put on a set of these rock sliders? They appear pretty beefy and the price looks pretty good.

I won't post the website, but if you google white knuckle off road you will find them. They only make rails from what it looks like.

I have big plans, but limited budget so I am trying to balance a functioning step / rockrail and not blow all of my money in one place!

Thanks,

Josh

I have been considering these myself... I emailed theem to see if they could make a set with out the round tubing step making it just a rectangular slider, surprizingly I got an email back with in a few hrs. I'm going to be ordering a set with in a month. They seem tuff as hell. I'd like to hear from someone who has them also...

They look good, sound strong. Site said they serve as a spot to lift vehicle with hi-lift jack as well.

Ordered a set today along with the pinch seam cover. I got them bare metal and will have them sprayed with Line-X to match the snorkel and bumper already on the Jeep...plus it should help in traction for my wife and kids as they exit the Jeep. I will post photos when I get them on and let you know what I think.

ID:	133579Sorry for the delay, I did get these and put them and they are stout! I also ordered the pich seam cover, which adds a really nice touch.

He will ship them bare metal for powder coat for an extra $100...I went bare metal and took them to a truck bed liner place near my home to get them sprayed with a product similar to Line-X. The guy there said he would touch them up no problem if I rub it off on the rocks. As to the shipping and packaging, no issues there...he packs these tight and snug...even kicked in a few stickers! The installation was pretty straight forward. They attach up front under the first bolt where the skid plate attaches to the frame. Once you get that one threaded through, we used jack stands to hold them in place and scratched all areas with dental tools...drilled the holes and bolted them. That first hole, I think is what makes it so easy...once that is set, you know where the rest of them line up.

As to their stoutness, they claim that you can jack the jeep from the rails even bolted on, but they recommend welding for added strength. I have not welded them yet, but as you can see from the picture Click image for larger version

ID:	133583 There is about 650-700lbs of dudes on these rails and the rails don't budge...I honestly think the suspension will give before these will!

As you can, hopefully, tell from the pic Click image for larger version

ID:	133582 they stick out further than what some may expect, but that is why I ordered them...they are also nice steps! My JK is already hard enough for my wife and kids to get into and when the stock tires die, the lift and wheels will increase in size!

One word of caution...the instructions and kit detail the different uses for the different sized bolts...I failed to see that detail! No worries, we just made the wholes the same size all around, which is that first big bolt...sorry I forgot the size , but it still went on no problem and like I say, these aren't going anywhere.

The screws for the pinch seam cover have started to rust, but I think that is do the drill we used rubbing off the paint. I will pop these out and reinstall with a teflon tipped bit just to get this looking perfect.

Overall, I could not be happier. John is a great fabricator and I wish him continued success in his endeavour and hopefully he can expand his shop. Let me know if you have any questions.
